Family Day Out in London
As the weather was really nice, we decided to have a family day out and drove up to London. We parked near Waterloo and walked along the Thames path to the London Eye (there was a Thames Festival taking place on the grass there). We crossed the bridge and had lunch on one of the fixed boats on the Embankment (beautiful). We then went on a Thames Cruise up and down the river (Reuben went to sleep and Tanya burnt her face!) We then had an ice-cream before going home. Both the children were fantastically good and fell asleep in the car on the way home!

14th August - Tanya's Birthday - Chessington World of Adventures

It was Tanya's birthday and the family went to Chessington World of Adventures for the day. It was a fantastic day and the weather was really sunny (unbelievably!!!). There was Tanya, David, Marianne, Reuben, Sandra, Dave, Aidan, Lucy, Ethan, Lara-Mae, Josh & Georgina. We had a lovely picnic and we all went on most of the rides (the queues were fine). Lara-Mae and Reuben enjoyed their trip to see the animals and fish in the SeaLife Centre with Nannie and Grandad whilst the rest of us went on the bigger rides in the afternoon (even Marianne and Ethan enjoyed the big rides).
12th August - Family Seaside Outing
On Tuesday 12th August, it was the Preece family outing day at the seaside. We went to Southsea and Debbie joined up with us for the day by catching the hovercraft from Isle of Wight to Portsmouth.
Unfortunately, it rained at lunchtime, so we couldn't eat our picnics on the beach, but the rest of the day was lovely and Marianne particularly enjoyed the rides and the 2p machines. Reuben loved the attention and enjoyed the soft-play in the pub.
